UNIT 1

Creating our own website.

 

We had to design our own website to use as our student portfolio which replaced our hardcopy ones. We were instructed to use the free website maker called wix.com. The very first thing we did was to chose the theme. Next, we started with the actual designing like where the buttons go, what should be the background, which font I should use, what should be my title and more. Trying out this new interface of almost everything new was hard and confusing at first. But as I experimented on trying out new options and clicking to find out what that unknown button does, gave me a trial and error process. Now, I am here, having figured out the basic functions and technique on creating this website.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

UNIT 2

Planning our own trips

 

This unit was all about integrating our "IF" statements in the microsoft office excel and putting them to use for the evaluation of whether our planned trips were cheap, affordable, just right, or expensive. We had to research and look for hotels in that specific country, plan for food fees, check the price of the airplane ticket and transportation fees then get the total cost of that trip. Lastly, we made graphs for the food, transportation, airplane ticket etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

UNIT 3

Brochures!

 

Brochures! We made them indeed! Using the information gathered from our previous unit (planning trips using Microsoft Excel), we created three brochures for three different places. Among the 20 choices of destinations we had, I picked Seoul, New York, and France. UNIT 4

Audacity DJ Task

 

For this task we needed to record our own radio clip. We wrote our own script and chose 10 songs through a survey. We used surveymonkey.com to send out the survey for the most popular song. My make up title as a dj was DJ Coi. As my script wasa written, I proceded with recording my voice. Along with that, I downloaded all my top 10 songs. When both recordings and audio for songs were ready, I edited them in audacity.

Then we had to take 3 pictures per category of photography. Portrait, landscape, and related to nature.
