Food preparation:

We washed our potatoes first with clean water and then dried them so they won’t react a lot with the oil when we fry the chips. After, we sliced the potatoes with the slicer and then placed them in the pan full of oil. We fried them carefully and didn’t burn them. Later, we also seasoned them with the powder we bought. We had barbeque, cheese, and salt.

Food Preservation:

We preserved the food in sealed plastic containers. After they were fried, we placed them on a tray with tissue over. This made the chips drain the oil on the tissue and therefore made the chips dry. After the chips were dry, we seasoned them. Lastly, we placed the dried and seasoned chips inside the plastic containers.

Food Presentation:

We chose to present the chips and put them in a plastic container. We had three different flavors: cheese, barbecue, and salt. We thought that a plastic container would be the best choice for how we present our potato chips because it is neat and cheap.

Conclusion:

I think we were successful in terms of preserving the crispiness of our potato chips because even after several days we fried them, they still stayed very crispy everytime we ate them as if they were freshly cooked moments before took our bites. The potato chips weren't soggy too. Also, we were able to preserve the hygiene of our cooking condition and had a safe cooking process. I think we learned more about preserving different kinds of food and how to cook and also the procedures of doing so. We also learned how to sell food we made.
